Bundle Monster Downtown Collection- Review

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've posted anything and I'm sorry for that. I'm really trying to get in to blogging more. Anyway, today I come to you with a review of Bundle Monster's Downtown Collection!

Bristol is a deep maroon creme that was opaque in 2 coats. The formula was extremely nice and easy to work with. I had no issues with this staining my nails or the skin around my nails.

I used 2 coats of Bristol over 1 coat of Chrome my Nail by Bonita to create a ruffian mani. I also added a little bit of lace with black acrylic paint.

Crowley is a deep purple creme that was opaque in 1 coat. This picture does not do this polish justice! In real life, Crowley leans a lot more red than blue. The formula was perfection, not too thick even though it's a one coater. I had no staining issues with this one either.

I used 1 coat of Crowley and did some glitter placement with Diamond Drops by Color Club.

Eaton is a dusty teal creme that was opaque in 2 coats. The formula was amazing and I had no staining issues with this one.

I used 2 coats of Eaton with 1 coat of High Fashion by Milani and black acrylic paint for the tip design.

Harlow is a deep blue creme that was opaque in 1 coat. The formula was obviously amazing. It was the perfect consistency for being a one coat polish. I had no staining issues.

I used 1 coat of Harlow and did an argyle pattern with acrylic paint.

Oxford is a nice coffee brown creme that was opaque in 2 coats. The formula on this one was a little bit thinner than the rest but it was still easy to work with. I would just say to make sure you don't have too much product on your brush or you might run the risk of overflowing your cuticles.

I used 2 coats of Oxford, studs by Sally Hansen, and black acrylic paint for the accent nail.

Redhill is a dark burgundy shimmer with flashes of red that was opaque in 1 coat. The formula was just phenomenal on this one. I was expecting for this one to be a 2 coater so I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I did experience a little bit of staining on my nails after wearing this for about a day. It's very minor but noticable if you look close enough.

I used 1 coat of Redhill to create a half moon and then lined it with silver glitter.

This is the first time I've ever used any Bundle Monster products and I'm very impressed. I've also read that they stamp very well too! I'll hopefully be testing them out for stamping very soon! The Downtown Collection is available on their website now.

Born Pretty Store review (rhinestones + water decals)

Hello ladies,

Today I have a Born Pretty Store review for you all. I was sent 3 products, a rhinestone wheel and 2 different water decal pages? Packets? Lol I'm not sure but you'll see what I mean in a second!

Rhinestones (Item #16277)

There's really not much to worry about when you buy rhinestones or studs other than, do they get cloudy or lose color when you apply topcoat over them? Well these don't!
I was a little apprehensive to apply topcoat over them because I thought they'd lose the cool color shift they have going on but they didn't at all!
The base color for this manicure is called Fall Brisk by Pinwheel Polish.

This wheel also contains white rhinestones and different shapes.
(Image belongs to Born Pretty Store

These rhinestones are available here.

Water Decals #1 (Item #14925 in design H060)
As usual, the water decals are super cute and extremely easy to use. There isn't much to say other than that so here is another picture instead.
The colors I used for this manicure were Sally Hansen-Champagne Toast (light pink) and Revlon-Jungle. The design on the two middle accent nails was hand painted with acrylic paint.

These are available here.

Water Decals #2 (Item #14779 in design DS-086)
These gear water decals caught my eye immediately because I thought they were unique compared to the floral ones I usually choose. Just like the rest, they were extremely easy to use.
For the accent design I used striping tape and black nail polish over a gradient using Sally Hansen-Lightening, yhBEJA Cosmetics-#4, and L.A Colors-Sea Siren.

These are available here

Don't forget to use my discount code for 10% off your purchase: CTZX31.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!

Purple holographic studs + micro beads

Hello ladies!

Today I have a quick post talking abou these super cute purple holographic studs from Born Pretty Store.

I've totally been obsessed with the looks of studs or pearls with micro beads so I did a kind of random design using the BPS studs as the focal point and some micro beads and plain silver studs as accents.

The studs are fantastic, just like regular studs but with the amazing holographic-ness to them. They're big enough to be noticeable but small enough that they lay flat on the nail.

The studs come in a small resealable baggie with a sticker detailing what's in it. The item number (#14755), how many are in it (300) and the size (3mm).

You find this product HERE

Born Pretty Store kindly provided me a discount code for you all to use for 10% off your purchase: CTZX31.

I hope you're all having a great week

Denisse

Pinwheel Polish- Candy Girl (Swatch + Review)

Hello ladies! Today I have swatches and a mini review of Candy Girl by Pinwheel Polish from the V-day Collection.

Candy Girl is a mixture of various colorful, small and holo hex and square glitters along with colorful micro glitters and matte pink squares all suspended in a milky off-white base.
Swatch:

Here I have 2 thin coats of Candy Girl over 1 thin coat of a plain white polish.

Review: Candy Girl is packed with glitter, so you get a good amount of both the base and the glitter with just one dip. This polish dried quickly and was a dream to apply. This polish is unique, in my opinion, because the matte pink square glitters really stand out. It just makes the entirety of the polish work really well. The name is very fitting too! I know I definitely think of candy when I see this polish.

Janna still has this polish available in her shop right now, on sale for $4!! Go check out her online store here and be sure to follow her Instagram page for future collection releases and promo codes to get discounts.

Pinwheel Polish- Cranberry Kiss 2.0 (Swatch + Review)

Hi ladies! I'm sorry, I know it's been a while since my last blog post but I haven't done a lot of swatching or tutorials to share with you all. But today I come with an exciting new polish!
Introducing Cranberry Kiss 2.0 by Pinwheel Polish!

Cranberry Kiss 2.0 is a gorgeous cranberry colored polish with lots scattered holo glitter. Oh and how could I forget to mention that this polish is TEXTURED!!
This is my first ever textured nail polish and I must admit, I'm in love!
I wore 2 coats, no topcoat for the swatch above.

Here I wore 2 coats + I added 1 coat of Color Club top coat and 1 coat of Seche Vite.
It looked even more gorgeous (I didn't even know that was possible!) when I added topcoat!

This polish applied like a dream! I just did 2 thin coats and it was completely opaque. It also dried quickly in between coats. I wore this polish over a glue base to make removal easier for me. Since I did that, I was expecting it to chip or pop off completely the same day I applied it, but it didn't! I got away with wearing this for 2 whole days! Those two days included two showers, many hand washes and some semi "rough on the hands" jobs around the house. I was very impressed with the time this polish lasted considering glitter polish usually pops off, when I use the glue base, in the shower. I think that when used with a regular base coat, this polish will last quite some time before chipping.

Janna restocked her online shop and is having an amazing sale with polishes starting at only $5 a piece!! Cranberry Kiss 2.0 is available along with more of her holiday polishes.

Pinwheel Polish "Harvest Collection" (Swatches + Review)

Hello again ladies! Today I have swatches + reviews of Janna's "Harvest Collection" that is being released today!

There is a total of 8 polishes in this collection. 1 crelly, 1 glitter topper, and 6 shimmers.

To avoid repetition throughout this post, I'm just going to type it once here, (1) I used 1 coat of Out the Door topcoat for all the swatches (2) All the shimmers dried quickly and required no undies! (3) With careful application, you'll get no visible brush strokes like I did in some of the shimmer swatches. I personally don't mind visible brush strokes, so I didn't worry too much about application. (4) All the polishes were a DREAM to put on, they were as smooth as buttah!

Crushed Leaves is an off-white crelly with an array of fall colored glitters. This polish has medium and small green, red, orange and yellow hex and square glitters along with large, medium and small brown hex glitters and copper hexes all in a milky white base with micro copper glitter. I used 2 thin coats (no fishing or glitter placement!) over 1 coat of white. I absolutely LOVE this polish. The name most definitely suits this polish, it's perfect!!

Autumn Air is a glitter topper that consists of beautiful iridescent glitter that give off different colors depending on the lighting, angle and the base you are wearing. I used 2 thin coats of "Autumn Air" over "Beau Khaki" + "Nirvana" by Sinful Colors.

Apple Tart is a gorgeous bright yet deep red shimmer. I used 2 thin coats. You could probably get away with 1 medium-thick coat because it is so opaque! I used two because my nails are quite long and I'm use to always doing thin coats. This color is so beautiful, it's so hard to explain how amazing it looks. It's bright but it still makes me think of fall, not summer. I think the slight shimmer makes it look so perfect.

Fall Sky is a blue-green with a gold shimmer undertone. I used 3 thin coats.

Firewood is golden brown with gold shimmer undertones. I used 2 thin coats.

Haystack is a peachy shade with very slight purple, pink and yellow shimmer undertones. I used 3 coats.

Plum Harvest is a purple with red flecks of glitter with slight silver and turquoise shimmer undertones. I used 3 thin coats. The little red flecks are so much more visible in person.

Sage is a very deep olive green with goldish yellow, green and a slight orange shimmer. I used 2 thin coats.

The shimmers in this collection are absoultely lovely! They're opaque in 2-3 thin coats and dry very quickly. I think this collection is the first Janna has done that doesn't mainly consist of her usual glitter bombs (I'm not complaining though, her glitter bombs are always so gorgeous!!).

This collection has just been released on Janna's online shop!

Pinwheel Polish "My Favorite Halloween Movies" collection (Swatches + Review)

Hi ladies! Today I have swatches & reviews of Janna's "My Favorite Halloween Movies" collection.

This collection has a total of 5 polishes, 3 glitter toppers and 2 crellies.

To avoid repeating myself too much, I'll just type this down now, I used 1 coat of Out the Door top coat for every swatch.

Trick r Treat is a mixture of orange, black and white hex glitters. It also has grey medium sized hex & dot glitters with holo micro glitters, all suspended in a clear base. I used 2 thin coats of "Trick r Treat" over 3 coats of "Melon" by Cherimoya. This polish was so easy to apply and dried quickly. I had to do no fishing or glitter placement with this one because the brush picked up a nice amount of glitter. I really loved the way this combo looked because the glitter really popped!

Silent Hill consists of white and grey square glitters, some black dots and grey hexes suspended in a milky white, almost grey, base. I used 2 medium-thick coats of "Silent Hill" over 1 coat of a white polish. This polish did require some fishing and glitter placement. The black dots did not really get picked up by the brush but if you flip the bottle upside down for a few minutes they should be relatively easier to pick up. This is definitely my favorite from the collection. The fishing & placing is very worth it in my opinion.

The Monster Squad is a combination of a lot of different sizes and shapes of glitter. As described by Janna "it has an assortment of grey, green, bronze and orange glitters in a warm, smoky base". I used 2 thin coats of "The Monster Squad" over 2 coats of "Beau Khaki" by Sinful Colors. This polish was super easy to apply because the brush got a lot of the glitter. I loved the way this looked over this dark green color, I felt the colors went really well together.

The Lost Boys is made up of various types of red and black glitters with some white dots. There are nice big red heart and dot glitters along with some smaller hex & holographic shreds of glitter. The black glitters include a mix of micro, small hex and bar glitters. All those beautiful glitters are suspended in a creamy pink base. I used 2 thin coats of "The Lost Boys" over 2 coats of "Sailor's Delight" by Sinful SHINE. I only had to do a little fishing and glitter placement with the heart glitter. Other than that, the application was beautifully smooth & easy. I feel like this polish would also be great for Valentine's Day.

The Sanderson Sisters is a beautiful mix of a lot of different circle and hex glitters. This polish has large purple holographic and medium pastel yellow circle glitters alongside various purple and orange small hex glitters which include some holographic bits mixed in there. I used 2 thin coats of "The Sanderson Sisters" over 3 coats of "Yellow Kitty" by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. I like these two polishes together but I honestly thing TSS would look even more stunning over a dark shade like black or a really nice dark purple. This polish was easy to apply but I did have to do a little bit of glitter placement with the dot glitters.

This collection is still available in Janna's online shop. Be sure to pick them up before she sells out!

Pinwheel Polish- Trent (Swatch + Review)

Hey ladies! Today I have a swatch of Trent by Pinwheel Polish. Trent is part of Janna's Daria Collection.

Trent is so unique! I love the way the green dots reflect in the light. I like the way it looks over a silver base but next time I'll try black. I think it'll bring out the matte grey hexes more.

I'm wearing 2 coats of Trent over 2 coats of a silver polish.

Trent is described as a silver polish filled with large and small black circles, vivid green dots, small green glitters, gunmetal hexes and matte grey hexes.

This polish was really easy to apply and I had to do no fishing. All I do is flip the bottle upside down for about 5 mins to get the larger glitter to the top. It also dried quickly in between coats which made it easy to apply.

Trent is still available in Janna's online store HERE. You can also follow Janna on Instagram for updates on upcoming collections and discount codes HERE

Pinwheel Polish- Kaboomz (Swatch + Review)

BHi ladies! Today I have a swatch of Kaboomz by Pinwheel Polish. Kaboomz was a limited edition polish and unfortunately it is now sold out.

I'm wearing two coats of Kaboomz over one coat of a basic black.

Kaboomz is a glitter topper full of large pink hex glitters, medium sized green square glitters, and medium sized matte grey hex glitters all suspended in a clear base jam packed with various sizes of holographic glitters.

Kaboomz was very easy to apply and dried quickly. 2 coats is amazing coverage for a glitter top coat. You get a lot of the multi-sized holographic glitters with just one coat. I had to do no fishing! All I do is turn the bottle upside down for 5 minutes to get the glitter moving, then application is a breeze!

As an accent nail I did large and small sized dots of the 3 main glitter colors in Kaboomz over one coat of a basic white polish.

Colors used on accent nail:
Sinful Colors- 24/7
Orly- Mirror Mirror
yhBEJA cosmetics- color #4

This polish is sold out but you can find other amazing polishes on her website HERE. You can also follow her on Instagram for updates on upcoming collections and discount codes HERE. She's currently having a sale celebrating her 29th birthday!

Pinwheel Polish- Jodie (Swatch + Review)

Hi guys! Today I have a swatch of Jodie by Pinwheel Polish. Jodie is part of Janna's Daria Collection.

I'm wearing 2 coats of Jodie over 2 coats of Sinful Colors Candy Coated.

Jodie is described as having large lilac dots, matte grape and plum hexes, tiny purple and white hexes and matte grey dots in a clear base.

Jodie was easy to apply and dried really quickly in between coats. I only had to do a little bit of fishing for the matte grey dots. Other than that, I had no problem getting any of the glitter on my nails. All I do is turn the bottle upside down for about 5 minutes to let the glitters get redistributed throughout the polish and then application is super easy!

Jodie is available on Janna's online store HERE. You can also follow Janna on Instagram for updates on upcoming collections and discount codes HERE
